Construcción de la identidad furry

Abstract

El ensayo realiza una breve pero exhaustiva revisión teórica de la identidad furry y algunas de sus controversias relativas a sexualidad. Por tanto analizaremos su construcción como prácticas de género: por un lado, la teoría queer nos permite enmarcar el problema de la normalización y representatividad de identidades (aportamos como argumento un listado de prácticas de género susceptibles de subversión); por otro lado, mediante el feminismo cyborg enmarcamos la construcción cultural de la naturaleza humana, especialmente dentro de la práctica científica, que es trascendida irrevocablemente a través de la dominación cibernética. Finalmente, podemos concluir que las prácticas de género, como ideología sobre la naturaleza humana, funcionan imponiendo límites a la autoimagen corpórea. La identidad furry se agencia hábil frente a la nueva dominación cibernética. Title: Construction of the Furry Identity Abstract: The essay carries out a brief but exhaustive theoretical revision of the furry identity and some of its controversies related to sexuality. Therefore we are going to analyze its construction as gender practice: on one side, the queer theory permits us to classify the problem of the normalization and representative of identities (we contribute as argument a list of gender practices susceptible to subversion); on the other side, through the cyborg feminism we frame the cultural construction of the human nature; especially within the scientific practice, which is irrevocably transcended through the cybernetic domination. Finally, we can conclude that the gender practices, as ideology about the human nature, operate imposing limits to the corporeal auto image. The agency of the furry identity is acquired with ability opposite to the new cybernetic domination.
