Titles: Perception of Discrimination in University´s Envirorments Abstract: Society can’t thrive while discrimination exists, this is one of the major social problems that the Mexican community faces and it is more perceivable in the northern region, especially in Monterrey, Nuevo León. This city has the stereotype, in Mexico, of being one of the most discriminating cities towards diverse sexual preferences, gender, race, and foreign people. The present work will not focus on the explanation of discrimination, but it will provide a quantitative investigation to determine which are the most prominent types of discrimination inside one of the most elitist and diverse communities in Mexico, the university environment. The objectives of the present work are to determine which are the types of dis-crimination inside the university between students, and which one of them is the most perceivable. After the investiga-tion, it was concluded that the discrimination by socioeconomic classes is the one with most appearances, although there are cases in which discrimination is made by sexual preferences, race, and gender at lower rates.
